NASSCOMM and its eminent member companies
like Infosys, Wipro, TCS, Mindtree, and Xansa etc. have been
consistently raising their concerns about serious SKILL-DEFICITS
in fresh engineers graduating from Indian engineering colleges
and computer schools. The inability of these engineers to
communicate properly, work in teams and comprehend and empathize
with client-needs makes their employability very low.
TechlapTM
by SkillRoots MaxLearn is India’s very first and the
most powerful training program for fresh IT professionals
aiming at enhancing their “EMPLOYABILITY” by plugging
some serious soft-skills gaps.
Companies today require those technology
professionals, programmers and engineers, who can work along
in teams, who are exposed to real-life technology implementation
challenges, who can communicate effectively to a worldwide
audience and perhaps most importantly, those who show an ability
to rise above machines and codes and look at the needs of
customers. TechlapTM
seeks to attack exactly these problem areas in its tightly
structured 100 hour skill-builder workshop program.
Currently being incubated on randomly
selected fresh engineers from small technology schools, TechlapTM
expects to hit the marquee in March 2006. Talks are on with
leading technology companies to further fine tune the various
modules in the program.
TechlapTM
is a versatile program and will be offered in two versions,
to begin with V-1 is to be offered to final year engineering
students; and V-2 will be offered to tech companies for embedding
in their Graduate Engineers Induction program.
